Kazan Int’l Film Festival to host Iran movie ‘Overruled’

Iranian documentary ‘Overruled’ has been scheduled to vie at Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Co-directed by Farnaz and Mohammadreza Jourabchian, the film is to be screened at the 13th edition of the festival.

‘Overruled’ depicts the life of some young Afghans who seek refuge in Iran after the trembling time of war in Afghanistan.

The boys have started working in Iran, but working hard, they have achieved considerable accomplishments.

The film has so far participated at a number of international film festivals, including Low Cost Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain, and White Nights Film Festival in Russia.

Launched in 2005, Kazan International Muslim Film Festival is being held in the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The motto of the festival is “To the dialogue of cultures through the culture of dialogue”.

The 13th edition of the festival is slated for September 5-11, 2017.
